Earlier today in Maharashtra, Tata Motors launched Ace Zip pickup and Iris passenger carrier vehicle. Built on the innovative low cost platform to attain minimum possible transportation cost, Tata Motors has manufactured Ace Zip pickup and Magic Iris.
Tata Magic Iris can easily ferry 4 passengers excluding driver. Tata Motors believes that Magic Iris is more cost effective than the regular mode of public transport in India – Auto Rickshaws. Not only Magic Iris is safer, it is also much faster and more comfortable than Indian auto rickshaws. Priced at Rs 1.95 lakhs, Magic Iris is costlier than a new auto rickshaw but has state of the art features like fuel injected diesel engine, seat belts, low maintenance.
Tata Motors expects Magic Iris to take over the rural transportation market. Tata Ace Zip pickup is priced at Rs 1.90 lakhs and is powered by a 611 cc diesel engine that generates 11 bhp and 31 Nm torque. It has a payload of approximately 600 kgs and returns a mileage of 25 kmpl. The 12” wheels provide super strength and maneuverability when traveling through congested area.
