Jeremy Thrush has been cleared by a Sanzar judicial hearing

Hurricanes lock Jeremy Thrush has been cleared by a Sanzar judicial hearing today after being cited for a late and dangerous charge on Highlanders hooker Jason Rutledge during a Super 15 rugby match in Invercargill on Friday night.

Thrush was alleged to have played Rutledge without the ball and dangerously charged the reserve hooker in the 63rd minute of the match, but Sanzar judicial officer, Nick Davidson QC, found that Thrush had not breached the law and his intention was to tackle a player who was about to receive the ball.
