Why singer Meatloaf fired? : Celebrity Apprentice 2011

After nine emotional weeks, finalist singer Meatloaf was fired by host Donald Trump, business entrepreneur, as a potential winner of Celebrity Apprentice 2011.

Why was singer Meatloaf really fired?

After a blowout with talk show host Star Jones and actor Gary Busey, eyebrows were raised in regards to the Bat Out of Hell singer’s anger management, emotional threshold, and whether he could indeed be a professional leader at the end of the day.
Guest consultants to host Donald Trump included former contestants and winners of Celebrity Apprentice; rocker Brett Michaels, comedienne Joan Rivers, and talk show host Piers Morgan.

Each consultant, with their own experiences in mind, questioned Meat on his ability to be a leader, keep his cool, and whether he felt he should be the winner of Apprentice 2011.

During his interview, Meatloaf was called out on his emotional outbursts throughout the Celebrity Apprentice 2011 season. The incident with actor Gary Busey, later deemed a misunderstanding, one of the most crucial examples the judges brought to the table.

Having assumed Gary had stolen his art supplies, Meat angrily and quite aggressively threatened Busey, yelling in a very frightening manner. Interestingly, both Meat and Gary have attended anger management mental health treatment in the past but apparently Meat only got so far in the courses – he actively struggles with his anger control and moments of impulsive behaviors.

For this reason, Mr. Trump and the celebrity consultants, Michaels, Rivers, and Morgan all felt it would be the right thing to send him home.
