Taylor Lautner Stars In 'Abduction,' 'Twilight' Star In Action Movie (WATCH)

Coming off the heels of Mark Wahlberg's prophesy that Taylor Lautner will develop into a mega star who will make every other actor obsolete, his new movie 'Abduction' embraces his new leading man stature.

In the John Singleton film, Lautner plays a high school kid blissfully unaware that he is adopted and that his parents are spies--despite his father's sick fighting moves.

Then the absurdly good-looking teen embarks on the road to self-discovery and turns into an action prodigy to avenge his parents death.

With a impressive supporting cast of Danny Glover, Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina, Michael Nyqvist, Maria Bello, and Jason Isaacs, Lautner may be taking over sooner than we thought.

Jani Lane Dead: Warrant Singer Dies At 47

LOS ANGELES — Jani Lane, the former lead singer of the metal rock band Warrant, has died in Los Angeles. He was 47.

Officer Sara Faden says Lane's body was found Thursday in a Woodland Hills hotel. She had no immediate information on the cause or circumstances of his death.

With his long blond hair and tight leather outfits, Lane embodied the excess of 1980s "hair metal" rock bands. He joined Warrant in 1984 and wrote such hits as "Heaven," "Down Boys" and "Cherry Pie."

He had an on-and-off relationship with the band, leaving it in 1992 before returning and quitting again several times.

In recent years, he appeared in VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" and made news for a drunken driving arrest.

He is survived by two daughters from two previous marriages.

Steven Spielberg Confirms: 'Jurassic Park 4' Is Happening!

The wait is a mere flicker of an instant in time compared to how long it took the dinosaurs to come back to earth, but then, when you've got a beloved franchise like "Jurassic Park," fans tend to get antsy.

This may or may not help.

Steven Spielberg, the director who needs no introduction, made his first ever appearance at Comic-Con on Friday, to promote his upcoming motion capture adventure, "The Adventures of Tin Tin." It makes great use of technology, and footage wowed attendees at the hallowed Hall H, but it was Jurassic Park, one of his ultimate technological breakthroughs, that garnered the most buzz.

It's long been speculated and teased that a fourth film in the series -- the last hit theaters in 2001 -- would some day get made, but there's been no solid story or timeline for its production. Spielberg was albe to, kinda sorta, give an answer to that latter question of time.

According to Movieline, Spielberg said, "We have a writer who is writing a treatment and hopefully we will make 'Jurassic Park 4' in the next two to three years."

He didn't give any plot details away, but Joe Johnston, the "Captain America" director who worked on the first three, spilled a few beans last week.

"We are in discussions about 'Jurassic Park 4,'" he told ScreenRant (amongst other things). "The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction -- a completely different direction that is very exciting."

'Charlie's Angels': New Series(video)

That Charlie has a pretty good eye for talent.

ABC has unveiled the preview clip of their new rendition of the classic TV show, "Charlie's Angels." The new series stars Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachel Taylor as the special operatives for the mysterious, unseen Charlie; the original, a cultural phenomenon when it began in 1976, starred Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith in its first rendition.

There was, of course, a series of hit movies based on the series in the early 2000's starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.

This big, loud, fun take on the 1970′s smash hit series introduces us to three new angels, all fearless operatives, head-turning beauties and close friends. There’s Abby (Rachael Taylor) a Park Avenue Princess who became a world-class thief.

Then there’s Kate (Annie Ilonzeh), a Miami cop who fell from grace, losing both her career and her fiance. Finally there’s Gloria, a disgraced army lieutenant who has a way with explosives. When one of the angels’ missions ends in Gloria’s tragic death, Charlie persuades them to partner with Gloria’s childhood friend, Eve (Minka Kelly), a street racer with a mysterious past. They may not know each other yet, but one thing’s for sure–Abby, Kate and Eve will always have each other’s backs.

Lisa Edelstein Leaves 'House'

Lisa Edelstein, one of the leads on the longtime hit FOX medical drama "House," will not return for an eighth season of the show, Deadline reports. While co-stars Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps re-signed following the season, negotiations with Edelstein never reached that point for the show's leading lady.

"After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead," Edelstein said in a statement .

Edelstein will leave the show what could be one season shy of its finale; FOX ordered the eighth season last week, and speculation has been that it could be the show's last.

Celebrity Demi Lovato Posts Bikini (video)

Demi Lovato left rehab, where she was treated for emotional and physical issues, in January, and she's ready to show that she feels better inside and out.

"I've been working so hard to get healthy and fit.. I can't believe I'm about to do this but I'm so excited.. Here's my bikini time body!" she tweeted with the photo below.

Later she told fans through a series of tweets that they too can overcome body image issues.

I never thought I'd ever feel confident enough to ever to that. I'm excited how far I've come since being completely ashamed of my body.. I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself. It hasn't been easy, but it starts with a commitment to yourself.. 'The Hangover Part II': Scenes Revealed (VIDEOS)

With less than two weeks til the highly anticipated sequel, "The Hangover: Part II," hits theaters, new footage has been revealed to the public in three new TV spots, unwrapping new plot details .

First, we find out that, once again, the confusion and carnage is the fault of group weirdo Alan (Zach Galifianakis). Whether roofies are involved remains to be seen, but the rest of the crew (Bradley Cooper's Phil and Ed Helms' Stu) most definitely have some impaired memories. Among other unfortunate new pickups.

Amongst them: the knowledge that Alan isn't very good with a gun.

There's also fresh footage of Mr. Chow Ken Jeong, who will obviously play an expanded role in this film. In fact, there was nothing he wouldn't do, the film's writing team told Entertainment Weekly.

"Ken would literally do anything," co-writer Ken Mazin told the magazine. "I honestly believe if we said, 'Ken, we actually need you to kill a human being in this scene for real,' he would do it. His enthusiasm is unbounded."

Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts Talk 'Larry Crowne,' about Careers(Video)

Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts ruled the 80's and 90's thanks to, in part, their total domination of the romantic comedy: "Pretty Woman" rocketed Roberts to fame at age 21, while Hanks' multitude of roles in classics such as "Splash" and "Sleepless In Seattle" helped him become an A-lister.

The two return to those roots in their later-in-life romantic farce for the economic downturn, "Larry Crowne," but in between, they each won Oscars for their more serious fare. Those career changes, they say, were no accident.

Speaking to W Magazine, both Hanks and Roberts remember back to their film transitions, when quirky love stories made way for films such as "Philadelphia," "Forrest Gump" and "Erin Brockovich." In Hanks' case, he made certain, in no uncertain terms, that he'd be getting those types of roles.

"I told my agents that I wasn't going to play pussies anymore," Hanks told the magazine. "I was tired of playing, 'Oh, boo-hoo--I was in love, but oh, boo-hoo-hoo.' There comes an age when you can't do that anymore.

I wanted to play men instead of boys. In your mid-30s, it's time to start playing guys of compromise. And as you get older, men of bitter compromise."

It was a similar story for Roberts, though for her, it was more about finding roles to which she could relate.

"I think it's called growing up. Light and funny has a more compelling quality when you're younger," she said. "But I haven't abandoned the genre: I love falling down; I love Lucille Ball. It's just that a lot of those stories revolve around problems that I can't convincingly portray at this age."

For "Larry Crowne," the pair play a more age-appropriate duo; Hanks, a big box store employee laid off and headed back to junior college, and Roberts, his alcoholic teacher.

Hanks says the film, which he also wrote and directed, works to send a message to the millions of downtrodden Americans hit hard by economic recession.

"The movie is about combating cynicism. People are naturally optimistic, but you have to choose to walk away from cynicism," he explains. "You have to say, I am going to combat cynicism today. I had this idea about a unique guy who loses his job and then, at the end of the movie, realizes that it was the best thing that ever happened to him. He thought he was going to die, but it turned out great!"

Hugh Jackman is used to dishing out the punishment with his fists. Now, he's at the helm as robots deliver the carnage.

The Australian leading man stars in the upcoming film, "Real Steel," a Dreamworks-produced film that is one part "Rocky," one part "Transformers," and one part heartwarming father-son story.

In short, it's a wild hybrid that could best be described as the big screen adaptation of the kids' game Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots.

Jackman plays boxer named Charlie who loses his title shot when the sport shifts to gigantic robot battles and can't seem to successfully control the new metal battlers. When his son pressures him into teaching him the ropes, the two set off on a quest to train an undersized bot -- with, like in "Rocky," lots of heart -- to be the champ.

While the film may sound far-fetched, Dreamworks is so excited for its release -- and expected huge box office take -- it's already commissioned the screenplay for a sequel.

Katie Holmes, Chace Crawford In Comedy Romance : 'Responsible Adults'

You know time is marching on when Katie Holmes, teenage soap opera superstar, is now playing the semi-creepy older woman in a romantic comedy with a nice bit of generational symmetry.

In one of a long line of film deals to come out of the Cannes Film Fest, The Hollywood Reporter relays that Holmes has signed on to star in "Responsible Adults," a film about a 30-year old who starts to date a younger guy -- a guy it turns out she babysat for in the past.

That would be Chace Crawford, whose "Gossip Girl" has replaced Holmes' "Creek" as the go-to drama on the WB/CW Network. In real life, Holmes is 32-years old, while Crawford turns 26 in July.

Of course, Holmes is used to being the younger one in the relationship; she is famously married to Tom Cruise, who is 16 years her elder.

The film is a step back toward lighthearted fun for Holmes, who recently featured as Jackie Kennedy in the controversial and critically panned miniseries, "The Kennedys." She recently wrapped production on "Jack and Jill," a comedy with Adam Sandler and Al Paccino.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Talks Natalie Portman : 'Hesher'

There's an awkward tension in the air between Joseph Gordon-Levitt's titular nihilist Hesher and Natalie Portman's downtrodden store clerk Nicole, but off the set of their upcoming indie dramedy "Hesher," it's all kind words and good feelings between the two.

Set to release this weekend, Gordon-Levitt and Portman star in the story of an anarchist and checkout clerk who become the best friends of a 13-year old boy mourning for his mother.

Portman, in her new pursuit of behind the scenes work, helped to produce the film, one of many reasons why Gordon-Levitt sings her praises in this new interview with PopSugar.

"Natalie is someone I've just admired ever since I saw 'The Professional,'" he admitted. "She's such a great actor, and yeah, she's produced 'Hesher,' it's the first movie her production company has produced, and what a cool thing to do that with. If you're Natalie Portman, you can produce some huge Hollywood money maker, but she chose to do this little movie because she believed in the story and she believed in the filmmaker. It's the kind of movie that wouldn't necessarily get made without a little help from someone like her."

Gordon-Levitt, who will soon begin shooting "The Dark Knight Rises," was just cast as Robert Todd Lincoln, eldest son of the 16th President, in Spielberg's upcoming epic biopic "Lincoln."

Val Lauren As Sal Mineo In New James Franco Biopic Of Late Actor

A young James Franco's first mainstream success came with his hauntingly real, Golden Globe-winning portrayal of worldwide icon James Dean. Now, a bonafide superstar intent on making his mark as a director, he's turning his gaze back toward the Rebel Without A Cause for his newest project.

Franco, who will direct an upcoming biopic about actor Sal Mineo, has cast actor Val Lauren in the role, according to The Hollywood Reporter; in December, Franco optioned the rights to a 2001 biography of Mineo, best known as Dean's troubled sidekick in "Rebel Without A Cause."

Mineo, who was murdered in 1976, broke ground as one of Hollywood's first openly gay actors. A two time-Oscar nominee, his frantic, vulnerable Plato won him vast praise and drove his career until he was too old to play the teen role.

The project is just one of many that Franco is taking on as he transitions to a career behind the camera; he'll also be helming a big screen adaptation of William Faulkner's "As I Lay Dying," directing and starring in Cormac McCarthy book-to-film "Blood Meridian," and taking on the same responsibilities for "The Night Stalker," a film about Richard Ramirez, the 80's Bay Area serial killer.
