WATCH: Sawyer Glacier Ice Breaks Off Near Alaskan Tourists

If anybody ever thought staring at ice was boring, they need just look at this video of a 200-foot chunk of ice breaking off of Sawyer Glacier in Tracy Arm Fjord in Alaska to realize that ice can certainly perk up a tourist's day.

Or not. In the Youtube description the author says that, "a woman was injured and broke her leg."

Below is another video where the author says a chuck of ice nearly took off her head, and that a seal having a very bad day.

"Seal also gets taken out. Damn nature, you scary!"

Checking out glaciers in Alaska is a supremely popular tourist activity, but it always benefits one to remember that nature can pop up and bite you on the "Holy Crap!" from time to time.

Luckily there were no glacial tourists off Antarctica during the Japan Tsunami when an iceberg the size of Manhattan was broken off.
